His practice, the Karas Vision Centre, based in Richmond Hill in the Greater Toronto Area, has brought the gift of sight to over 10,000 people.   • Asked by the faculty of the International Society of Refractive Surgeons to teach Radial      Keratotomy procedures in Minneapolis
  • Delivered a benchmark paper to the American Academy in 1995. Selected as the best paper,      it reported on the comparison of all current treatments used in refractive surgery
  • Helped develop the new state-of-the-art technique for the correction of farsightedness,      known as the "Grene Lasso"
  • Specialized training in the early 70's at the University of Alberta and Stanford University and      was honored as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons F.R.C.S.(C)
